Prison

A friend of mine is going to prison for beating a guy with some brass knuckles...
That doesnt seem right, especially after the guys didnt press charges and actually apologized for starting the fight...

This "system" of governing is damned.

Native Survival

This guy, right here, is a pretty cool guy. On his youtube channel he explains and shows all sorts of survival techniques and bushcrafting methods. As well as self reliance, and how to make the most out of little. And how to make and find useful items in a survival situation instead of relying upon manufactured goods. Ive learned a lot from this guy. If you order from his site it may take a bit of time to get to you. But I have faith that it will be worth it once you recieve the items. He talks about everything from hunting squirrels and how to skin and rack them. To how to make a pipe, and what can you find that is pleasant to smoke in it. And all the little random bits are so worthwhile to see. Myself growing up in Oregon am not real familiar to all the plants he shows in since he is in the northeast of the US. But regardless I find most all of his information relevant and interesting. Give him a look and maybe show some support.

The Busy Mockingbird

This is an art blog by an army wife. She has a very young daughter, and she posts all sorts of her art projects around the house and how she keeps her daughter involved. She has some sewing projects and she talks a little about her roller derby crew. All in all she has some pretty interesting ideas and I like her style of drawing. So giver her a look when you can!

AZ Prepper

I found this site either when I was looking up candle making, or what to do with old Crisco. I don't remember anymore. But I definitely have learned a lot from this blog. Everything to raising quail, to storing food, to growing plants and survival strategies relevant here in Arizona. He talks about teaching your kids about survival and how to take care of themselves without technology. And also goes on to talk about his experiences raing rabbits and chickens. I really liked his "candles", using old oil and crisco. I plan to use many of these things he talks about in my own home.

Holy Scrap Hotsprings

I found these guys when I was looking up biodiesel stuffs. And honestly it was exactly what I was looking for
since then I've watched many of  their youtube videos, and read a lot of their blog posts and I have to say they're pretty snazzy people. They live in new mexico and live environment friendly. I'm honestly super jealous.

they grow food and herbs and know what to do with them. They juice, they live conciously of what's around them and share it with others, they build stuff with electronics, they make stuff with papercrete lol Im rambling but I really like these guys

Boots Progress Update

I picked up some eyelets from walmart the other day for my boots (posted about earlier in august) today I started applying them to the boots

so far I have ten applied, that's one side of one boot, I'll need another 30 to finish this part of the "renovation"

I used the "antique brass" eyelets from walmart, got two sets of 15, will need more... have only good things to say for them so far.
at first I couldn't figure out how to make the holes for the eyelets to go through, I tried a shotgun shell and it worked perfectly, except that it bent the shell irreparably :\ so that was a no go.. I couldn't just cut through to leather either, at least not without mutilating it. eventually with some digging in the shed I found a set of ratchet attachments using the smallest I could hammer a hole about the right size

spacing was hard to figure out, eventually I just eyeballed it and placed the eyelets on top of the boot where I wanted then used sewing pins to show where they'd go

it all turned out rather well I'm very happy with it so far, still a lot more work to go but worth it i believe

now I need to find some fur.....

New Patches!!!

I stopped by shirts n things the local punk purveyor and picked up 2 new patches for my slowly growing collection :3 added them to my shorts and now I want to show them off lol

these shorts were some converse one star pants that I had for a few years that tore on the back of the pant leg, they were my favorite pants so I turned them into cuttoffs.

  new patches yayy!

The metallica one was hard because the patch was rectangular it left a lot of empty black fabric at the bottom. So I cut a slight concave in the bottom, and sewed around the name so that the outer edges would fray. Reducing some of the leftover fabric while nicely wearing the look of the patch.

I really like this one x] was easy to sew, except when I had to seam rip the top open when I accidentally sewed through the pocket...

I've had this one a while, it's actually covering up a hole in the back.
Just had to fix one of the seams that was wearing out.

GOT

so when does game of thrones come back on? lol ehhhh.....

Holistic Ferret Forums

While this site can offer you very helpful information, I cannot advise you to join. Recently I was blocked after having a disagreement with a forum moderator. Probably not the best thing to do but what else can you do after you are essentially called a bad owner for letting your dying ferret eat cat food. I was told repeatedly by this woman that I and my vet had misunderstood the ailment my ferret had. I should immediately take him to a proper vet and have his blood sugar checked as well as stop feeding him what I have been. This coming from an owner of 9 ferrets who can afford to feed them all live prey and devote half her house, and all of her time to her "furbabies". It must be nice to be able to do so. My ferret has a tumor on his liver, and I was told he would not live more than a few weeks. This being a few months ago I went to holistic ferret forums. com looking for advice or answers. What I got was a careless scolding remark over my poor treatment and care of my little loved one. How could I just sit back and just be like whatever over this? After I've been agonizing over his impending death for months? I wasn't, and I got banned. Thanks HolisticFerretForum.com for all your concern. Just another snobby health club.

Ferret Sleeping Positions

I've come to the conclusion that ferrets become spineless when they sleep

also they are not very picky about where they sleep

but all evidence points towards them being very cute <3

Project Start Black Leather Boots

I've had these black boots for a while, I think I picked em up at a yard sale I don't really remember. but anyway I like them but I also really don't. They're too tight around my calves, and too loose around my ankles. Plus they have these big old long zippers on the insides. And since you probably don't know I really hate zippers on boots. They are lazy. But at the same time I love the treads, as well as how they fit on my feet. They have this really nice sheepskin insoles and soft wool-like cloth covering the inside of the boot. They are super comfy and sturdy and I'd hate to give them up. But I'd also never wear them as they are. so I've started a project to renovate them. chop chop....

I've started by disabling the zipper and taking off the head off it.

I'll be leaving the zipper on the boot but it wont be used. Why not take it out completely you ask? Well because it's A LOT of work, and because it could ruin the integrity of the boot itself, And because it wont hurt and will actually probably help with what I'm going to do next.
