I've always liked Athena in greek mythos. The idea of a powerful woman being looked to for wisdom and strength always just made my heart smile lol. And the bronze statue reminded me of my grandparents who had a couple bronze sculptures of goats, like what you see in movies in rich peoples houses. I always liked them and it was an impulse buy. an investment towards having a house worthy of putting it in someday.
Also it was an inspired buy, something to surround myself with that I would enjoy to look at every day and feel empowered by. The statue is more a symbol of a strength than an idol to be enshrined. the fact that an entire metropolitan area was dedicated to the belief in this one particular woman's strength and wisdom is rather inspiring I think.
