Bike Inner Tube Bracelet

I go through a lot of bike inner tubes, lots of hostile plants here. Especially these thorny ground cover plants called goatheads :( But any way this gives me lots of spare tubes to do stuff with and this is one of those projects :3

Plant Rehab

 so awhile back I made a post about making mint extract with vodka. And I told y'all about my lovely beautiful chocolate mint plant that was so nice and bushy and green. Well Ive been preoccupied with work and ferret and whatever I forgot all about my mint plant. Didn't water it for about 4-5 days. And this being arizona this sort of behavior is not tolerated by nature very well...

I have started on the long upward struggle of plant rehab. Putting garlic cloves in the soil to keep mold away, watering with peroxide water to boost the plant and kill bad things, and making cuttings to maybe make little mints if he still doesn't make it. sigh...

Elastic and lace

The wristband/bracelets are super simple to make but can be difficult to deal with while making. 

Since you're basically sewing onto stretched elastic you have to make sure it is secure or it'll snap back and cause all sorts of heart palpitations lol. 

(this is what gives it those lovely ruffles)

But they are fun to make and worth the effort for their super cuteness

Everyday style

Outfit consists of walmart shorts, dollar store donated silk button up shirt, cut, sewn, and altered myself, and a very snazzy vest also found in the dollar store donated bin x]

Shoes don't matter much to me unless I'm really trying to put my outfit together. So I just chose whatever I wanted to wear. Which was my airwalks with rainbow laces <3 I like colors.

I'm poor but I can still look nice x] lol

Monsoon season!

it's monsoon season here in AZ, this means (hopefully) lot's of thunderstorms! and or lot's of dust and humidity...

 

 It's been hot all day today, but now all of a sudden it's raining and storming like craziness, 

which is wonderful <3

busy
